Welcome Emery Marie Bunselmeyer, born 2:05 PM August 8. She weighed 8 pounds and is 20-3/4" long. Emery is welcomed home by her parents Mark & Mindy Bunselmeyer and big brother Gehrig. Grandparents are Bob & Sue Bunselmeyer. Congratulations to Mark and Mindy and their families! This is the week – Women’s Fellowship’s annual rummage sale. We know you have been cleaning out the basement, attic, closets, garage, etc. and have a truck full of gently used clothes, shoes, kitchen items, baby items, books (no encyclopedias), etc. etc. etc. for our sale. We thank you so much for helping us raise money for the church in this manner. Now is the time to drive it on over to Fellowship Hall. We’ll be glad to help you unload it on Wednesday beginning at 9 a.m. If you choose to bring it sooner, be sure to call the office first so the door can be unlocked for you. We also welcome your help in setting up the boutique (Wednesday and Thursday from 9-4), working at the fun event (Friday 8-4 and Saturday 8-11), and packing away the unsold goodies (at 11 Saturday morning). Of course we invite you to shop for the great bargains also. Questions? Call Marilee, Darla, Martha, Ellen, or Norma. With the start of school, it is time to update the list of addresses for this year's college students. Please give the church office or Mary Beck at Marybeck1@comcast.net the address of your student so they may receive monthly communication from the church. If your student has been on the list and wishes to be removed, let us know that also. If your student's address will remain the same as last years, please let us know this also. You only need to inform one of us of this information as Nancy and Mary will share the addresses that they receive. FIRST RINGERS' rehearsals will begin Thursday, September 4th. We will meet at 5:45 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Choir will begin rehearsal Wednesday, September 3 at 7:30 p.m. and will begin singing in service on September 7. Leadership & Contemporary Worship Institute Sept. 30th -Oct. 4th YOU ARE INVITED to hear “Ten Great Ideas” for ministry, and much more - including fresh worship ideas. Interested? This annual event is hosted by The United Methodist Church of The Resurrection 13720 Roe Ave, Leawood, KS 66224. Check their website www.cor.org/li2008/workshops for more information.
